Crowes Pasture in Concert with support from Mansfield-Smith (please note change of venue)

We’re really looking forward to welcoming Crowes Pasture, a duo all the way from Boston, Massachusetts, to the Minchinhampton Cotswold Club as part of their UK tour, on Sat 22nd March 2025.

Two-time New England “Roots Act of the Year” nominee and winner of the International Acoustic Music Awards Best Country/Bluegrass song 2024, Crowes Pasture inspires audiences with their powerful and moving songs that connect with listeners at every stage of life. While their lyrics provoke thought and emotion, their unique banjo-guitar instrumental union takes listeners on a meditative journey, sometimes joyful, sometimes wistful and oftentimes poignant. The duo has gained a loyal following throughout New England, charmed by their approachable presence and mesmerized by their intimate and haunting harmonies, described by Americana Highways as “a wholly vintage vocal parfait” and “rurally expressive with a genuine instinctive unifying feel.”  Tickets £15  https://minchinhamptonmarkethouse.co.uk/crowes-pasture-folk-concert/

Mansfield Smith are a duo of Cotswold musicians formed in 2012, consisting of husband and wife team Guy and Cathy Mansfield Smith. Their genre defying music can be called Americana, Country, Roots, Folk, Bluegrass or anything in between! Playing mostly acoustic instruments, their sound includes Guy’s soulful voice and classic country guitar playing underpinned by Cathy’s driving double bass.

Maya Hughes

On Thursday Feb 20th 2025 we look forward to welcoming Maya Hughes as our spotlight guest.

Maya was a headline act at the Stroud & District Dame’s event last Oct and she blew us away with her beautiful songs and voice.  We can’t wait to hear more.

There will be plenty of floor spots available too so do come along.

Here’s some info about Maya and her music.

Maya was named after a 60s song by psychedelic folk outfit The Incredible String Band, which set the tone for the life that followed: ‘Maya, Maya, all this world is but a play, be thou the joyful player!’

Characterised by pure, arresting vocals, romantic melodies and moody hues, sung from the heart, Maya’s music aims to soothe the ears and touch the soul. She combines her own compositions with English and Irish folk songs and an eclectic mix of covers from artists as diverse as Bowie, Bacharach and Dylan.

She is currently working on her forthcoming album, Every Kind of Bird, and has an EP entitled Death and Beauty available to stream online:
